Industry Expert : Emile Wolff

Emile specialises in the areas of business performance, innovation and project/program Emile Wolffmanagement in the energy and process industries.

Emile's career spans both management and consultancy in PA Consulting (15 yrs) and Shell International (15 yrs) respectively.

During his time at PA, he managed a large number of Consultancy Projects in the energy, oil, and chemical industries. The particular capabilities he brought to these projects were in the areas of Programme/Project Management, Post merger integration, Innovation, Operations, Maintenance, Production organisations, Product Development and Planning/Scheduling.

He has managed consultancy assignments in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria, Abu Dhabi, Brazil and the USA.

In his 15 years working for Shell International Petroleum Company in the Refining, LNG, Gas, and Chemicals businesses, he built up a detailed knowledge of the process and equipment industries. More specifically, he was 5 years on the refinery in Pernis in various roles including being Area Engineer for 5 plants; Head of the Projects Department in Brunei LNG where he was also was responsible for a major Cogen power station project and in the last 5 years of his time at Shell he was a Project Manager in The Hague responsible for three Polypropylene plant projects in Germany, UK and Australia respectively.

He has been a Board Member of the Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers (KIvI) and a major contributor to its work in the areas of Energy and Industrial Engineering. Over the last few years he has also chaired a number of symposium discussions for KIvI on energy matters (Wind energy, Nuclear energy and the Smart energy mix).

Emile holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Delft and an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering.
