Industry Expert : Patricio Serra
Patricio is an expert on the Spanish, Italian and Portuguese energy and utilities markets. As a consultant he has worked for the Utilities sector for over 14 years and was instrumental in the establishment of both the Spanish and Italian electricity pools as well as having worked in the areas of:
- Market entry strategy in the smart metering arena for the Spanish market
- Review of tariffing and market segmentation for the Italian and Spanish markets
- Spanish market entry management for a Norwegian VOIP operator
His clients include AEM, Endesa, Gas de Lisba, Repsol and Iberdrola.
During his consulting career Patricio has acted as an Associate of many Blue Chip consulting organisations encompassing AT Kearney, PHB, CSC Index. Patricio provided them with expertise in the Spanish and Italian markets.
Patricio can bring insights from other sectors to bear having also worked in telecommunications, pharmaceutical, FMCG and investment banking.
Prior to his move into consulting Patricio held a range of management positions in the field of corporate planning (Exxon) , and process control (Dow Chemicals).
He is a qualified Engineer and also holds an MSc in Management Science. He has an MBA from the IESE Business School of Barcelona.
